From Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, 2026, the O’Brien Awards will make its debut in London, Ont. — the heart of Southwestern Ontario and a vital community in Canadian harness racing. The weekend will kick off on Friday, Jan. 30, with SC’s annual Board Meeting and All Members Meeting, followed by an evening of live racing at The Raceway.
Lorne House and Garrett Rooney will both represent the Ontario region in the upcoming Drivers’ Holiday Challenge - in support of Toys For Tots - on Tuesday, December 9. House is the defending champ, of the event, after competing in his first ever driver challenge - of any kind - in last year’s edition.
Also, on the night, driver Daryl Thiessen teamed four winners including the highest-priced victor during the 11-dash program. Thiessen’s winners would include the ‘grit grinder’ State Of Play winning his fourth straight over London…

The Raceway at Western Fair District played host to the $23,400 Autumn Series final for filly pacers on Monday, Oct. 27 with Islamabad taking a gate-to-wire trip to victory in a career-best time.
