Western Fair Surpasses Handle Record
“It’s very encouraging to eclipse last year’s record wagering numbers,” said Greg Blanchard, Director of Equine Programming. “The numbers are solid for a small half-mile track such as ours and is something that our entire team takes pride in. It gives us a nice boost as we head into the final two months of our spring meet – our most exciting part of the season.”

El Toro Loco added his name to the Western Fair record books on Wednesday (March 13) evening as he captured the evening’s Preferred Handicap Trot in 1:56, equalling the record for older trotting geldings. (SC)

Marvin Hagler Wins Top Class; New Meet-High Established
The Raceway established a new Meet-high for handle, Tuesday, with $717,818 wagered on the 10-race program.
“Despite some short fields - due to scratches - great weather and a favorable schedule helped us reach that new high,” mentioned Director of Equine Programming Greg Blanchard. “We’ll look forward to another solid 10-race card on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:50 p.m.!”
Oldfriendskentucky To Lead Auld Lange Syne Post Parade
There have been many ‘iron horses’ over the years and this season we may have seen one of the last… OLDFRIENDSKENTUCKY wrapped up his fourteen-year-old season, at Leamington, this past September when he finished third and clocked up his own mile in 1:59.1.
Affectionately known as ‘TUCKY’ his longtime owner/trainer Steve 'Ribsy' Roberts has decided to bring him back to London, one final time, to lead the post parade for tonight’s Auld Lange Syne feature for our older pacers in Race 10.

November 25, 2013 at The Raceway in London - TOMITTA BAYAMA would hit the winner’s circle, with Trevor Henry aboard, after leading all the way and holding on to win by a head in 1:56.4… It would mark his sixth career victory, but it would also be the pacer’s first of many wins for his current and long-time trainer Tom Hamm.
Raceway Heating Up For The Holidays
The Raceway is heating up for the holidays following a season-high handle of $608,749 on Tuesday evening. The 11-dash program saw London’s leading driver Tyler Borth guide four winners on the night. His wins included I Loved Her First - 1:59.3, Jayport Roadrunner - 2:00, Can Be A Treasure 1:59.3 and Azucar Jack - 1:57 flat for the fastest mile on the night.

The 4th annual Driver’s Holiday Challenge at The Raceway turned into the James MacDonald show Sunday as the two-time O’Brien Award winner captured five of the 10 races in the competition and took home the trophy for the second time in the event’s young history.
