Islamabad Posts Career Best In Autumn Series Final

The Raceway at Western Fair District played host to the $23,400 Autumn Series final for filly pacers on Monday, Oct. 27 with Islamabad taking a gate-to-wire trip to victory in a career-best time.

The Autumn Series was for two and three-year-old Ontario-sired fillies that were non-winners of $10,000 lifetime as of midnight Sept. 30, 2025 (no allowances on earnings).

Austin Sorrie and Islamabad left from the rail against a charging Century Moo (Dale Spence) out of post seven. After getting parked on the lead to the quarter in :28, Islamabad settled in on the front along the pylons to control the timer in :57.4 and 1:26.2. Islamabad never faced an anxious moment, cruising home to score by two lengths in 1:57. Century Moo finished second with Baby Belle (Mark MacDonell) third.

With her fourth straight victory, Islamabad boosted her seasonal and career record to 6-3-3 with $29,975 earned. The three-year-old daughter of Stag Party-Rainbow Palace is trained by Gerard Demers and owned by breeder Francis Picard of Warwick, Que., with Claude Thibault of St. Eustache, Que. She paid $2.10 to win.
